Floyd County is currently under contract with the law firm of Sands, Anderson, Marks & Miller for legal services. Mr. James Cornwell, Managing Partner at the Blacksburg, Virginia office, provides County Attorney services for Floyd County. He provides counsel to the Board of Supervisors, Floyd - Floyd County Planning Commission, the Department of Social Services and County staff as required. Besides routine counsel on local government issues, the firm also provides services in the areas of personnel management, government relations, delinquent real estate tax collection, lobbying, municipal finance, land use and development, environmental law, etc.
