The Floyd County Fire Department was established in the 1930's as an all Volunteer Department. The Fire Department continues today as an all Volunteer Department. They operate from four locations in the County. One station in the Town of Floyd, one in Willis, one in the Locust Grove area and one in Indian Valley. Each station is equipped with a Chief's response vehicle, brush truck, pumpers and a tanker.
