Floyd County Residents,

We are pleased to inform you that the burn ban in Floyd County, which was enacted on Monday, November 6, 2023, will be lifted as of Saturday, January 6, 2024.

After careful consideration of current weather conditions, fire risk assessments, and collaborative efforts with local authorities, we have determined that it is now safe to rescind the burn ban. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this period, as your commitment to fire safety has played a crucial role in preventing further incidents.

Starting from Saturday, January 6, 2024, residents are permitted to resume outdoor burning activities in accordance with local regulations. Please remain vigilant and exercise caution when engaging in any burning activities to ensure the continued safety of our community.

Thank you for your cooperation and adherence to the burn ban during the past 60 days.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Floyd County Administration Office at (540) 745-9300.
